Message:
Huerta Goes 5-for-5 Against Montreal: It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Pedro Huerta, it came around today.

The 31-year-old right fielder scattered hits all over Ubisoft Field to pace the Jacksonville Hurricanes to a 10-3 victory over the Montreal Blazers.

Montreal skipper Bill Inkster told reporters in the press room that "Huerta deserves a hat-tip."

"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Huerta hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."

Pedro Huerta singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Kevin Davis in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Bill O'Connor in the 8th.

So far this season Huerta is hitting .287 with 30 home runs.
