Houston Defeats Toronto 9-2, Ingram Nabs 300th Save: Once again Bob Ingram took the mound for Houston with the game on the line, a scenario that has played out hundreds of times for the Hurricane and their top reliever. And like he has several hundred times before, Ingram closed out the victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. This save, however, was a bit more special than most -- it was his 300th career save. The 34-year-old bullpen specialist shut down Toronto on no runs and no hits, while working 3 innings in the 9-2 win at Mission Control Field.

"Early in my career, 300 saves was the only goal I had -- if I could be around long enough to get it," Ingram said. "I thought to myself, if I could get 300, I'd feel like I'd accomplished something."

Ingram's career stats shape up like this: In 900 innings, he has struck out 941, walked 279 and saved 300 games while compiling a 56-62 record and a 3.12 ERA.
