Hot Rods Kevin Crone Down and Out for Year: The season is finished for Kevin Crone of the Bowling Green Hot Rods. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Hot Rods starting pitcher suffered a torn meniscus while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Great Lakes Loons. Team doctors said it would take at least 4-5 months to heal.
Thus far this season, Crone has tossed 36.1 innings in 5 starts, fanned 32 batters, walked 21 and put up a 3.47 ERA with no wins and 1 loss.
