Hit Parade: Lux Pops 5 Hits: 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but New York's Gavin Lux made it happen today against the Orioles. Everything came together at the plate for the 25-year-old shortstop as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the Mets to a 8-3 win at Citi Field.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Lux said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
Gavin Lux doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jefry Rodriguez in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
Lux is currently hitting at a .314 pace with 5 home runs and 41 RBIs.
