Hit Kings Advance to Divisional Series: Bush League pundits who figured the Wild Card between the Evansville Hit Kings and Kingsville Knights would go the distance were right on the mark.
The two teams battled back and forth in a spirited series, with Evansville coming out on top thanks to a 3-0 win in the deciding game at Marshals Ballpark, to wrap things up 2-1.
"You get to the last game and anything can happen, so we're overjoyed to come out on top," said Hit Kings third baseman Marlon Anderson, who was named series MVP.
For the series, Anderson had 5 hits for a .417 average. He had 1 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 3 runs.
