Heed Presented MiLPBE Rookie of the Year Award: Evan Heed's age didn't show very often in his first year. He performed more like a veteran on the hill for the Kansas City Hepcats and today he walked away with the 2044 Minor League PBE Rookie of the Year Award.

The 21-year-old starter registered a 13-8 record this season in 27 starts. Over 165 innings he gave up 171 hits, struck out 76 and issued 48 walks as he held the opposition to a .271 batting average and fashioned a 3.71 ERA.

Wayne Shoresy of the Chicago Kingpins finished second in voting, while Keegan Halverson of the Florida Flamingos finished third.
