Hat Trick of Home Runs for Santana: Vasques Santana brutalized the Missoula Osprey pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 9-5 victory at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field. The Idaho Falls Chukars right fielder was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day.

"I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one."

For the game, he went 3-for-5 with 8 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

"Too much Vasques Santana today," Osprey manager Max Brandes said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to."

Vasques Santana hit a two-run home run off Jaden Pleasant in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Jaden Pleasant in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Harper Hover in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.

Currently Santana is batting .264 with 7 home runs, 24 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
