Hat Trick of Home Runs for Monroe: Jim Monroe went on an explosive hitting spree against the San Jose Cuervo at The Raptor's Nest today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the Redstone Ridge Raptors to the 8-5 win.

The left fielder finished 3-for-4 with 3 runs scored and 4 runs batted in.

"It was just one of those days," Monroe said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball."

San Jose skipper Brandon Kirk said Monroe was "locked-in."

"We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him."

Jim Monroe hit a two-run home run off Tomás González in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jesús Córdova in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Jesús Córdova in the 8th.

Monroe has a .288 average and a .349 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 51 hits, 10 home runs and driven in 31 runs.
