HS Trophy Goes to Tallman of Poly Prep Country Day School: The hottest bat of the week belonged to Poly Prep Country Day School left fielder Braden Tallman.
He went on a rampage last week against HS hurlers and rapped out 8 hits in 16 at-bats for a .500 average while hitting 5 home runs, driving in 10 runs and scoring 6 runs -- numbers quite worthy of the High School Player of the Week trophy.
Tallman was honored today at a press conference.
Tallman is hitting at a .347 mark this season. His stats show 14 home runs, 26 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has played 25 games for the Blue Devils.
