Guides Pitching Ravaged by Albano: It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Aubrey Albano of the Dallas Drillers. Albano went on a tear at The Driller Dugout and cracked hit after hit off Maine pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 38-year-old second baseman had a career 5-for-6 day and something he will long remember.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview.
Despite Albano's personal accolades, the Maine Guides walked off the field with the 7-5 win.
Aubrey Albano doubled in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 10th.
This year Albano is batting .376 with no home runs and 12 RBIs.
