Message:
Great Week for Toronto's Jonathan Parker: 26-year-old Jonathan Parker sent shock waves through Major League Baseball last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the American League Player of the Week Award.

A newcomer to the league, Parker made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .462 average, 12 hits in 26 at-bats, 2 home runs and 5 runs batted in.

Where the Toronto Blue Jays third baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Parker certainly made his mark last week.

Presently Parker is batting .240 and has collected 21 home runs, 54 RBIs, .351 OBP and scored 85 runs.
