Gordam Crafts 5-0 Shutout: Karl Gordam kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Dublin Porters were all smiles after winning 5-0 against the Kyiv Cossacks at Kyiv Grounds today. The left-handed Gordam gave up no runs in his start, permitted 1 hit and had 18 strikeouts.
"If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Gordam said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be."
So far this season Gordam has a record of 23-5 with 465 strikeouts and 59 walks in 249 innings and a 1.77 ERA.
