Golden Bears Gerlach to Miss Year: Sam Gerlach of the Golden Bears just might have to call it quits for the season. The 18-year-old California reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Texas A&M Aggies recently at Ballpark of Phoenix College. Gerlach suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. The Golden Bears medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 14 months.
