Gerardo Carrillo Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year: The season is apparently over for Gerardo Carrillo. The Schaumburg Boomers medical staff informed the club that the third baseman will be out at least 6-7 months with a concussion. Carrillo was hurt in the game against Joliet while colliding with a player at a base. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.

For the season, Carrillo is hitting at a .238 clip with 17 home runs, 46 RBIs and has scored 44 runs. He has 69 hits, 22 walks and a .297 on-base percentage.
