Message:
Garduño Whips Monroeville, 4-0: Eduardo Garduño bent a little, but he didn't break against the Monroeville Yinzers. The Walla Walla Walleye pitcher hurled a 3-hit 4-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering no walks and tallying 7 strikeouts.

"Eduardo is good at getting out of jams," Walleye manager Calvin Beck told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."

Garduño has made 17 starts so far this year and put up a 8-6 won-lost record with a 2.09 ERA. In 116.1 innings he has allowed 82 hits, walked 18 and struck out 110.
