With the division title still hanging in the balance in the season's final day, the Sacramento Mad Popes triumphed to capture their 19th division crown.
"It's been an exciting chase and great for fans," said reliever Aaron Anderson. "Of course, Sacramento fans are happiest of all right now."
The club captured the crown with a 98-65 record and will be looking to win the 4th Brewster Baseball Association championship in team history.
