Foster Ups Hit Streak to 30 Consecutive Games: The Orleans Firebirds fell to the Brewster Whitecaps in Stony Brook Field today, even as 19-year-old center fielder Toby Foster upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 30 games. Foster finished with 1 hit in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Firebirds from dropping the 8-4 decision.

"Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Foster.
Toby Foster hit a solo-shot off Brian Chmelik in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and struck out in the 8th.

Foster is hitting .426 so far this season with 21 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 23 hits including 7 home runs, 7 walks and .516 OBP.
