Flint Loses Matt Cox for Season: The news is bad in Flint. The Coney Dogs have lost the services of reliever Matt Cox for the rest of the season due to a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament. Cox was injured in a recent game with the Kinsale Fisherman while throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 13-14 months.

Thus far this season Cox has compiled a 2-1 record, made 18 relief appearances with no saves, hurling 22.2 innings and striking out 28. He has held the opposition to a .207 batting average with a 3.18 ERA.
