FA's Best Player Named: Few players his age are still in the league, but Johnny McDowell of the Pittsburgh Miners clearly loves the game and clearly he can still get the job done. Last week the 35-year-old third baseman hit the ball with the consistency of someone ten years younger, which made McDowell a popular and well-deserved selection as Federal Association Player of the Week.

He paced the Miners attack by putting up a .464 batting average, 13 hits in 28 at-bats, 1 RBIs and no home runs. McDowell also scored 5 runs.

Currently McDowell has 1 home run and a .313 batting average.
