Eagles Murrell Lost for Year: A blow for Billy Murrell today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 12-13 months with a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament. Murrell suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Stoneman Douglas HS Eagles are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Murrell's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature.

Murrell has pitched 23.2 innings and molded a 6.08 ERA with no saves. He has surrendered 25 hits while registering 28 strikeouts on his way to a 2-4 record for the Eagles this year.
