Devin Welninski Chosen DL's Best Player: The future looks extremely bright for Devin Welninski. At the age of 25, many players are still trying to find their way in Brewers League Baseball.

Welninski has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Domestic League Stout Slugger Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .327 this year, that's for sure," the left fielder said.

The Pittsburgh Millers star also put up a .383 on-base percentage this year, with 192 hits, 31 doubles, 8 triples, 37 home runs, 89 RBIs and 91 runs scored.

Jordy Wovchanoff of the New Orleans Voodoo finished second in voting, while Benjamin Guy of the Pittsburgh Millers finished third.
