Cory Petit Chosen DL's #1 Player: Cory Petit took Brewers League Baseball by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 25.

For his spectacular campaign, the New Orleans Voodoo star has been named the 2052 Domestic League Stout Slugger Award recipient.

"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the first baseman.

On the season he compiled a .394 batting average to go with a .438 on-base percentage. The native of Épernay, France also added 52 doubles, 3 triples, 20 home runs, 105 RBIs and 119 runs scored.

Beau Pruett of the Santo Domingo Rum Runners finished second in voting, while Dez Swanson of the Indianapolis Clowns finished third.
