Cone Bangs Out 5 Base Hits: It was a sensational day at the plate for Philadelphia Quakers second baseman Joe Cone, but a tough one for the team, as the Quakers dropped the contest 5-4 to the Dallas Wranglers.

Even with the loss, Cone was pure misery for the Dallas pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-6 in an explosive display of hitting.

"It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Cone, who is the 27-year old second baseman .

"Cone really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Wranglers manager William Albrecht told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

Joe Cone singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 12th.

This year Cone is batting .386 with 1 home run.
