Claws Win Round 2: The Cork Claws have beaten the Augusta Linksmen and will advance to the Round 3.
Cork won the final game by a 4-1 count to take the series 4-2. The Claws triumph was no doubt in large part because of the performance of right fielder Raul Bobadilla, who was named MVP of the series.
"The only thing that matters is that we're off to the next round and one step closer to a Round 3," he said.
The Cork Claws will play against the Can Tho Cobras in the next round. Can Tho won their series against the Vermont Expos 4 games to 1. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
