Chick Homers 3 Times Against Hoover HS: American Heritage HS Patriots catcher Kaleb Chick put on a dazzling display of power today at Buccaneer Place against the Hoover HS Pirates. In the 11-6 Patriots victory Chick penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts.

"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Hoover HS manager Nazir Lindsey said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well."

Along with his three home runs, the 15-year-old had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

"Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Chick said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today."

Kaleb Chick hit a solo-shot off Erik Hughes in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Erik Hughes in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Addison McNeive in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.

So far this year Chick is batting .304 with 3 home runs.
