Carangi Fans 15 Airhogs: Led by an outstanding performance from starter Abramo Carangi, the Hartford Defenders topped the Seattle Airhogs today by a score of 8-5 at Defenders Ballpark. The 25-year-old Carangi brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 4 hits and giving up 1 walk.
"He made a lot of good pitches out there," Airhogs manager Fred Cox said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes."
In 15 starts this season Carangi has fashioned a 3-3 record and a 4.09 ERA.
