C.J. Cordero Injured, Out for Season: The doctors have spoken and C.J. Cordero of the California Angels didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old left fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Cordero sustained his season-ending injury during the Fresno Falcons game yesterday at Disney Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the California medical staff reported Cordero had a broken kneecap and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6-7 months.

For the season Cordero has produced 48 hits in 200 at-bats for a .240 average with 7 home runs and gotten on base at a .369 clip.
