Big Day for Lurie: Swats 5 Hits: Andy Lurie of the Whitecaps was unstoppable in today's 7-4 victory over the Falmouth Commodores at Arnie Allen Diamond. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats.
"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Brewster third baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will."
Andy Lurie singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 11th.
Thus far this year Lurie is batting .346 with no home runs, 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
