Best Pitcher Trophy Won by Terriers Garcia: The Pennsylvania-New York Baseball League Pitcher of the Year Award winner has been chosen and the trophy goes to York hurler Jose Garcia for his outstanding season in 1962.

Garcia was quite impressive with a 12-4 record and a 2.40 ERA. In 22 starts and 146.1 innings, he struck out 179 and gave up 97 hits and 56 walks. Teams hit .186 against him.

He received 6 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Mark Campbell of the Geneva Robins finished second in voting, while Joe Elrod of the Geneva Robins finished third.
