Best APP Reliever Named: He may only be 23, but Dominic Bateman of the Princeton Rays has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the Appalachian League.

The reliever was today named the APP Reliever of the Year winner for 2038.

He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 3 saves in 21 relief appearances and 60 strikeouts in 46.1 innings. He had a record of 2-2 to go with his 1.17 ERA.

He received 34 first place votes out of a possible 36. Ryan Zuleger of the Bluefield Blue Jays finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Noah Dollar of the Welch Miners finished third.
