Bates Hits in 20 Consecutive Games: Chalk up another one for Philadelphia Phillies right fielder Myles Bates. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Bates went 1-for-6 today's game at Dodger Park but saw his club defeated 11-9 by the host Los Angeles Dodgers.

"Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Phillies manager John Lucidi said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one."
Myles Bates doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.

So far on the season Bates is hitting .350 with 7 home runs, 22 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 35 hits and played in 24 games.
