Bass Batters Miami Big Time: Larry Bass put on a hitting clinic today as the Atlanta Governors dumped the Miami Flamingos 13-7 at Miami FL minor league ballpark.

The Atlanta first baseman made Miami defenders earn their pay, lashing Miami pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Bass said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Larry Bass singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

This season Bass has banged out 114 hits in 325 at-bats for a .351 average with 12 home runs. He is getting on base at a .421 pace and his totals also include 43 RBIs and 62 runs scored.
