Message:
Bartolini on Fire, 5-for-5 Against Pittsburgh (GCL): Speaking with reporters after a dominating hitting performance, Armand Bartolini said his club's tilt with the Pittsburgh (GCL) Pirates "felt almost like batting practice." The 19-year-old left fielder went a remarkable 5-for-5 at the plate.

"I saw the ball well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted," he recalled later.

However, his sensational day wasn't enough for the Colorado (GCL) Rockies, who were topped by the Pirates, 9-8.

"It's a good lesson for him, I guess," Rockies manager Darrell Miller Jr. said. "Sometimes Armand is going to lose. But I would rather him go 5-for-5 and lose than go 0-for-5 and lose."

Armand Bartolini singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, walked in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 11th.

This season Bartolini is hitting at a .370 pace with 1 home run, 11 RBIs and has scored 13 times.
