Ayaly and Avery Suspended, Out 6 Games: Pine Island and Gwinnett were informed today by the league's commissioner that two of their players have been given 6-game suspensions, citing their "inappropriate actions" in the recent altercation in a game played at Goodyear Hanger Dome.

For their parts in the bench-clearing episode, the Dolphins Miguel Ayaly and the Guinea Pigs Brody Avery will be sitting on the sidelines and will not be permitted to participate in games until the suspensions are served.

Ayaly is hitting .187 this season with 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 25 hits in 134 at-bats.

To date this year Avery has fashioned a 4.52 ERA over 63.2 innings with a 3-6 record. He has made no relief appearances with 79 strikeouts and no saves.
