As it turns out, the Auckland Aces BC are made of fight and tenacity, as the team got by the Sejong Administrators 4-2 tonight at Aukland Grounds in order to win the Championship and book a place in the next round.
"It wasn't hard to get excited for this game," said Wang, whose strong offensive output earned him MVP honors. "Our guys answered the call and proved a lot about what our team is all about."
Wang hit .308 with a .400 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Auckland Aces BC will play against the Montserrat Mystique in the next round. Montserrat won their series against the Asmara Modernists 3 games to 2. The IBC Cup schedule will be announced after the Championship finishes.
