5-Hit Barrage by Zinno: Bryce Zinno was sizzling at the plate today. The Clemson second baseman blistered the Oklahoma State Cowboys for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but couldn't prevent his club from falling to a 5-2 defeat.
"Zinno was too tough to get out today," Cowboys skipper R.J. Kapper said in a postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 5 hits off us, as long as we win."
Bryce Zinno singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This year Zinno is batting .409 with 36 hits, 2 home runs, 16 RBIs, 7 walks, .459 OBP and has scored 13 runs.
