3 Home Runs for Miroz: It's a rare event when a player hits three homers in a game and rarer still when he does it and loses.

It happened at McKeon Park today, as Carter Miroz of the Chatham Anglers unloaded three times against the Hyannis Harbor Hawks but was still bumped off 11-10 by the Harbor Hawks.

"We were lucky to win today," said Hyannis skipper Enoch Cahill. "You can't give up that many home runs and expect to win on a regular basis."

For the game, the Chatham first baseman had 4 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 times, and drove in 6.

Miroz spoke to the writers in the postgame press room with mixed feelings, saying he was sad to lose but happy to be seeing the ball well.

"I was just trying to swing early and often to give myself a chance," he said. "I let the pitcher supply all the power and try to figure out how to get the bat on the ball."

Carter Miroz walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Eric Dixon in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Eric Dixon in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Skyler Blackford in the 8th.

To date this year Miroz is batting .375 with 8 home runs.
