The 35-year-old Steinberg reflected on the achievement after the game. He mused: "In one respect, it's a real milestone, I guess. Yet, it's just a base hit like any other base hit."
For his career Steinberg is hitting .299 with 198 homers, 1014 RBIs and 2000 hits.
