2000 Hits for Neo: By going 2-for-4 in the Montreal 6-1 win over New York, Nathaniel Neo reached the 2000-hit mark. The Olympic Stadium fans, friend and foe, burst into applause and Neo's teammates hugged and congratulated him on his achievement.
"The guys began the countdown weeks ago," said the newest member of the 2000 Club. "I don't know who was more excited -- them or me."
In his career Neo has hit .304 with 2001 hits, 424 doubles, 30 triples and 247 home runs. His totals also include 974 RBIs and 832 runs scored.
