2000 Hits for Albies: Ozzie Albies started out as a baby-faced rookie many seasons ago. Yesterday at Citizens Bank Park the Atlanta veteran joined the league's 2000-hit club. Albies achieved that milestone with a 1-for-6 day in the Braves 9-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies.

He spoke to reporters in the clubhouse after the game and said, "Looking at the list of all the great players who have done this is humbling. It is a great honor to be among them."

In 1694 career games, Albies has put up a .286 average, collected 458 doubles, 56 triples, and 286 home runs, driven in 946 runs, and scored 1180 times.
