20-Game Hitting Streak for Friar: Jakob Friar ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games today at Ballpark of Meeker, when he collected 1 hit in 3 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the State College Swift Steeds dropped the game, 7-5, to the California Firehawks.
"Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Friar said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game."
