Anchorage Loses Reyes for Year: The season is finished for Chris Reyes of the Anchorage Homesteads. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Homesteads starting pitcher suffered a torn labrum while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Joliet Blues. Team doctors said it would take at least 4 months to heal.

Presently Reyes has a 1-1 mark in 0 starts with a 3.55 ERA. He has given up 23 hits in 33 innings, struck out 24 and issued 18 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .190 batting average against him.
