Golden Tornados Heading to Quarterfinals: The Sulphur HS Golden Tornados are off to the Quarterfinals after an exciting Sweet 16 triumph.
Sulphur HS downed the Poly Prep Country Day School Blue Devils, but needed the entire series to do so, with a 6-3 win tonight at Devil Park wrapping up the series 2-1.
"It's every guy in this room that made this happen. Without us all pulling in the same direction, we don't win this series," said Kyle Campbell, who earned MVP honors for a standout offensive series.
Campbell put up a .500 with a .500 on-base percentage in the series. He also had 2 home runs, drove in 2 runs and scored 3 runs himself.
The Quarterfinals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes.
