Indians Come up Short of Playoffs: The Springfield Indians may feel they were as good as the playoff teams this year, but the club has ultimately fallen short of qualifying and will watch the postseason from the sidelines.
"It's frustrating because we really feel like we could have given any of the teams a run for their money," said closer Jos� Morales.
Before this season, the Indians last missed the playoffs in 2011. In the 57 years they have been a BSBL Single A franchise, they have missed the playoffs 50 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Indians have missed the playoffs 5 times.
