The Pawtucket Patriots starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Eagle Mountain Scavengers and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Aponte was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 7 months.
