After leading the Geneva Greens to victory, 4-0, and tossing a no-hitter over the Orlando Sword Swallowers, David Saenz didn't have the answer.
"I don't know," Saenz said. "To do what I did today, I'm pretty sure it takes both."
On his big day at Royals Ballpark, Saenz fanned 4 and had 2 walks. And it seemed that when the Sword Swallowers managed to hit the ball hard, it went right at a defender.
"That's how you get a no-hitter," Saenz said with a smile. "A lot of skill mixed with a little luck."
In season stats Saenz shows a 7-2 record in 20 games, 86.1 innings, 58 strikeouts and a 3.02 ERA.
