Anaheim Moves on to Round 3: Bob Hubbard smiled when asked to describe his feelings after being named Round 2 MVP for the Anaheim Mice.
"I feel like I have a new piece of hardware to put up on my mantle and a new story to tell my kids and grandchildren some day," he said with a laugh. "Overall I'm just happy we won."
The Mice eliminated the Edmonton Eskimo with a 2-0 win at Ballpark of Stockton, which wrapped up the series 3-1.
For the series, Hubbard had a 0.00 ERA over 9 innings pitched. He added 12 strikeouts with a 1-0 record.
The Anaheim Mice will play against the Wichita Aviators in the next round. Wichita won their series against the Jackson Hermits 3 games to 0. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
