Ospreys Prevail, as League Championship Series Goes to the Wire: The Homestead was the buzzing center of the baseball universe tonight, hosting the deciding game of the League Championship Series.

The Gujranwala Ospreys and Canberra Comets had battled tooth and nail to arrive at the final game and in the end it was the Ospreys prevailing 3-2 to move on to the AA World Series.

"There's no feeling quite like winning a series in the final game," said an excited Allberto Mergulho, who was named series MVP. "This was two great teams and it turned out to be a great series. It's good for the fans."

For the series, Mergulho had a 0.00 ERA over 4 innings pitched, with a 2-0 record.

The Gujranwala Ospreys will play against the Belem Jaguars in the next round. Belem won their series against the Austin Grackles 3 games to 1. The AA World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
