2147 ABL-AA Best Player, Austin's Obanjoko: At the age of 25, Fasilidas Obanjoko of the Austin Grackles could very well have his best years ahead of him.

It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2147 was good enough to win the right fielder the Americas Baseball League Position Player of the Year Award.

"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."

The top hitter put up a .272 batting average this year, as well as a .398 on-base percentage. He played 132 games and racked up 131 hits, 21 doubles, 2 triples, 14 home runs, 57 RBIs and 83 runs scored.

He received 19 first place votes out of a possible 20. Yen-nien Lian of the Austin Grackles finished second in voting, while Rickey Baker of the Geneva Lakers finished third.
