Beavers Chill Burns's Hot Streak: Lady Luck was not on the side of George Burns or his teammates today at Haymakers' Grounds.
Everything went the way of the Vancouver Beavers, who not only came away with the 6-1 victory over Troy, but also held Burns hitless in 4 at-bats to put an end to his 24-game hitting streak.
"It was a good run," Burns said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won."
